I am back in Toronto!

Yup, that's right! I am sitting in my hotel room here in downtown Toronto as I write this! I flew back here earlier today and then went straight back to the set from the airport!!! We shot a whole bunch of publicity stills for the posters and boxcovers etc....
It has been a very long day to say the least.
But now I am comfy and settled in. I better get to sleep soon....I am being picked up at 6:30am.
I really am enjoying every second of this whole experience with the film industry. I can definitely see myself doing more of this!
Oh well, I will keep you posted and maybe try and take some behind the scenes pics!
I am here all week, maybe longer.

Even bigger news!!!!!

Ok, I don't even know where to start....I cannot believe what I did this past week!

Well, I might as well just tell you, this is even bigger than the Lotto 649 commercial.

I got cast in a feature film, American Pie: Beta House! I even have some lines in this movie!!! It is the next installment in the American pie series.

I flew out to Toronto Monday, just hours after finding out that I got the part. I had been nervous to tell anyone that I had auditioned for it, I didn't want to jinx it!!

Seriously, I felt like a rock star, they sent a limo to pick me up and take me to the airport. They put me up in an awesome penthouse in Toronto and they treated me like a princess! I could definitely get used to this!!! I can't believe how much they fuss over you in the film industry, everything is taken care of.

I had to shoot my first scene Tuesday morning, after getting to Toronto really late at night. I was so excited I couldn't sleep. Plus, it was super hot there, and I am not used to the humidity at all.

The cast and crew were amazing and it was one of the best days ever, ever, ever!!!

They flew me back late Wednesday and I have been on cloud nine ever since. I am going back in 2 weeks to shoot a few more scenes. Hopefully, I will get to see more of the city next time.

What an awesome day!!!

I know I have been a stranger to my blog lately....I apologize to everyone!

But...I have been a very busy girl and today was no exception!

I SHOT MY FIRST EVER COMMERCIAL!!!!

It is for BC Lotto, and I will let you all know when it starts airing.

I had to audition several times over the last few weeks and I was afraid to jinx it by posting that I was trying out for it in my blog. So I am telling you all now!

I had a blast on set today! The cast and crew were awesome and it is going to be such a funny commercial. You can see how hilarious we look in our costumes in these pics!!!

I have a few other potential gigs in the works....that is all I will say for now.

Other than the acting stuff, I have been training hard and I am now 11 weeks out for Canadian Nationals. I am currently 196lbs and getting leaner and harder by the day.

I am also co-promoting the BC Championships on July 21st and training several athletes for the show. Should be a great summer!

What a great weekend in Kelowna!

Me and Dia last night!
I have been really busy working and training lately...but I got a chance to sneak away on Friday! I went to Kelowna for the Western Canadian Naturals bodybuilding show. Kelowna is a beautiful city on a lake about a 4 hr drive from Vancouver.




Or should I say it is usually about a 4 hr drive, but I hit Friday traffic and some bad weather so it was more like 51/2hrs!!! Oh well, it was a nice nice and it was really great to get away.







There were a lot of great novice level competitors at this show. I was really impressed!





I also bumped into Shawn Tan, she just competed last week in the Emerald Cup and she looked incredible. She told me she is planning on competing in the show I promote, the BCABBA Championships.





I also saw my girlfriend Dia...she is also looking amazing. Dia and I will both be competing together in Edmonton in 16 weeks at Nationals. She normally competes as a middleweight and I compete as a heavyweight, but the CBBF has changed the womens' weight classes this year, so we will be in the same class. It is kinda strange to just eliminate a class and switch to just 2 weight classes for women....


I just gotta show up in the best shape ever and see if the judges like what I bring to the stage!

Hello everyone....hope Spring is starting to bring a little sunshine to wherever you are:)

It has been so long; where do I begin.

For starters, I have been very busy with my clients that will be competing this year. I train a lot of amateur Figure and Bodybuilding athletes and the competitive season is beginning soon. It can be a lot of work, but I love the sport of bodybuilding and I really enjoy sharing my passion with up and coming athletes. I find helping others achieve their dream of competing very rewarding.

I also have started working on preparations for the BCABBA Bodybuilding Championships on July 21st here in Vancouver. I help promote the show, which is a National Qualifier here in Canada. We have already booked IFBB Pro's Gunter Schlierkamp and Colette Nelson to guest pose. It will be an awesome show!!!

And....
I started my diet for Nationals last week! That's right...one week down....19 more to go!
Soon, I will start posting progress pics so you can watch me transform from off-season to contest ripped!
I am currently 204lbs with 12% bodyfat....just in case you were wondering.

What's new....

Well, I didn't make it to the Arnold Classic....that was a big disappointment! I came down with the flu a few days before the show and there was no way I could tough it out and get on the plane. It is a really long trip to Columbus and it is no fun being at a bodybuilding show when you feel miserable. I was also bummed cause I was really looking forward to seeing Melissa and Nadia and everybody. I don't get to hang out with my girlfriends enough.
I watched the webcast of both the womens and mens shows at the Arnold. All the women looked great! I can't wait to be in contest shape again. I was also really happy Victor Martinez won the Arnold Classic. He looked amazing!
Oh well, I have to make it to Columbus next year!
And that part in a TV show...
I ended up getting a callback! I was surprised since there were so many girls at the audition and lots of them had acting experience. I went back a second time and auditioned for the director. I was nervous, but a lot more confident then the first time. It came down to me and another girl, an actual actor! So, I was practical and figured if they just wanted a physique they would pick me, and if they decided they wanted a "real" actor, they would go with her. She got the part. I was a little bummed, but i did pretty good for my first try at auditioning. It is nerve wracking!!!
And very stressful!
I do have some good news today....
My friend Autumn is in town for a few days! I haven't seen her since November and we always have a great time when she comes to visit me. We went out for sushi last night.
And...
Amber DeLuca is flying into town today for a few days. her and I have never actually met! Just chatted online and seen each other at bodybuilding shows. We will probably all get together tonight.

Wish me luck.......

Hmmm....this is kinda one of those things that maybe you should keep a secret, so you don't jinx it....but I will tell you anyways!
I had an audition this morning for a small role on one episode of a TV show! Wouldn't that be awesome if I get the part! I got a small role(walk-on) in a feature film "TrickRTreat" shot here last December. Ever since that, my agent send me out to casting calls whenever they need a muscular girl. It is just a fun thing to do on the side. Anyways, I have my fingers crossed and I will let you know if I get the part!

I just realised that this time next week I will be packing my suitcase to leave for the Arnold Classic weekend in Columbus! Yeah!!! It is finally here!
I will be hanging around the expo Friday( and maybe a bit Saturday) and attending the evening show on Friday. I have some photo shoots booked for Saturday and Sunday.
If you are at the show and see me walking around, please feel free to come up and introduce yourself! I love meeting my fans, so please don't feel shy about saying Hi to me!

I just found out my girlfriend Nadia Nardi will also be there this year! I haven't seen her in months and I am really excited to hang out with her again! She is a great girl friend and an awesome bodybuilder! We always have a blast together!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Wishing everyone lots of love and happiness!

Other than the fact that today is Valentine's day, it is really an average kind of Wednesday. Not much special at all. It is very dark and rainy and gloomy out today. The sky is completely grey and the rain has not stopped all day.
I didn't train today, it was my rest day. I ran a lot of errands and worked with a few clients. I picked up the movie "The Departed" and I think I will stay in and watch it. Maybe order in some yummy food and just relax.
I am definitely getting stronger and bigger! I am consistently hitting new personal bests in the gym, and that is a really great feeling. I have about 6 more weeks of heavy training before I need to start my contest prep for Nationals in Edmonton August 18th. I can't wait!!! I will be bigger and better conditioned than ever this year!

I am in MUSCLEMAG!!!!

I was having a very ordinary Monday today. I had trained a few clients and then I was getting ready to train when I got a very exciting phone call from my nutritionist BIG G from Team Autumn.......He was calling from the magazine aisle in Walmart to tell me that I was on Page 288 of Musclemag International!!!
I ran across the street to the bookstore to get a copy. I was tempted to show people in the store, but I held back and restrained myself until I made it back to the gym to show absolutely everyone!!!!
There is an article about me by Steve Wennerstrom and a really great pic! This is my first time ever in Musclemag. Thank you so much Steve!
I was so pumped after seeing myself in Musclemag that I had the best arm workout ever!

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me.....

I think I had the best birthday ever! I really did!

I took this one myself. Can you tell? LOL!!!

I started out Saturday night by going out dancing with my amazing girlfriend(and future figure competitor) Heather. We had a great night out partying and having fun!


Then after sleeping in late Sunday, I went and had my nails done and a pedicure. After that, I relaxed and then headed off to my birthday dinner with my closest friends at my favorite restaurant HY's Steakhouse. The dinner was awesome and I was so happy everyone came out to wish me a Happy Birthday!


And finally, today, after all the festivities, I turned 29. I took the day off work and just chilled at home all morning and then I went to the gym and trained. It was a great day, except for the heavy rain and grey sky outside. Oh well, whatever, this will be the best year yet!

First day of my Birthday weekend!!!

OK, I know my birthday is not till Monday. But Mondays are boring days! So, my birthday celebrations will begin tonight. Yeah!!!
Usually I do not make a big deal about getting a year older, but all my friends are insisting on throwing me a big dinner party tomorrow night at my favorite steakhouse! Yummy!!! But that's tomorrow......
tonight I am being dragged out to a nightclub to go dancing. My girlfriends are making me go! They are forcing me out of my pajamas and TV on a Saturday night routine and making me get dressed up and go out to a club. Oh well, I need to try new things and it should be fun. Maybe I will have a good story for you tomorrow.....hehehe!

Is it just me....

or does January seems to be flying by!!! Really, it is already mid-month! WOW, guess I have just been busy since I got back from Texas.

I had a great week of workouts in the gym. My strength is way up again and it looks like I have been making good gains(even though I was barely training over the holidays)! Maybe I will take some pics and post them here this week. Actually I am going to be shooting video and pics of me training hard in the gym sometime before the end of the month. Who knows, maybe I will make it into a DVD!

Autumn called me a few days ago and it was really nice to talk to her. I hadn't spoken to her in a while and it was really great to catch up. I miss her a lot too! It seems like all my girlfriends live so far away. Well, all but one. I have a really cool new friend here in Vancouver. I am actually training her to compete in Figure at the 2007 Northern Classic. Her name is Viveca ....more on her soon!

Time to go cook my dinner. Chicken, potato and salad. Yup, I am trying to clean up my diet. I have a lot of photo shoots booked at the Arnold Classic Weekend and I better show up looking ready for the cameras!

Everything is back to normal!

Well my life is back to normal here in Vancouver!
That is a good thing for now. I have some time to focus and train hard. Actually, I have had two awesome workouts since I got back from Texas, so I feel back on track. I am so tired from my heavy back workout today that I think I will rest tomorrow.
It is snowing outside right now and freezing cold! Too cold for me......I wish I was back in Houston!
I just realized now that it is January I need to pull out the 2007 calendar and countdown the weeks till my next show. It is just a little ritual I do at the beginning of every year. Hmmmm....31 weeks till the Canadians and 33 weeks till the North Americans. That seems so far away, but it isn't really. Time to get to work in the gym!

Back home in Vancouver!

I just got off the plane here in Vancouver and the cold wind and rain made me feel right at home.
I had a great visit with Melissa! I love going to stay with her; I never want to go when it comes time to leave. She is such a sweetheart and a really great friend! I miss her already:(
Well, I guess it is not so bad, I will see her in 8 weeks at the Arnold in Columbus!! Yeah!!! Everyone is going to be there this year!
Well, I better go unpack and settle back in and get ready to go back to training clients tomorrow.

Melissa and Tatiana go to NASA!!!!!

I am still in Texas with Melissa, having lots of fun!

Sometimes it is just fun to hang out with your best friend and go to the mall or out for coffee! We have been doing lots of that. But yesterday was different.....WE WENT TO NASA!!!

It was so much fun. I love anything to do with outer space and stuff. I could have spent the whole day there, but we got there kinda late and it was only open for two more hours, so we looked at some of the exhibits and then we took the tram tour.

It was really cool to go into the actual working NASA. We went into the old mission control room and to where they train the astronauts to go into outer space!
I want to try and go back again but we will probably run out of time. I have to fly back to Canada on Monday. Then I won't see Melissa till the Arnold:(
